The Indestructible Fear
Its sadness which fills the halls And darkness which fills the heart. I saw him standing right there, with eyes piercing me like a dart. He looked me in the eyes, the eyes he looked me in. Not a twitch of shame, the man was living sin. It was as if he'd forgotten, all the betrayal and all the trauma. Did his time move in widdershins? Or was this just his new drama? In one quick swift I took my dagger and attacked him with all my force. He was down in less than seconds, he was now a corpse. I realised what I'd done and panic filled me all over. I was just as bad as him, I wasn't a four-leafed clover. He represented all my fears and now that he was gone. I should've been at peace, but why did it feel so wrong? Destroying our fears doesn't help us to grow. Learning to live with them, is what to do and now I know. Facing one's fears is a move considered strong. Killing them, makes a man invulnerably wrong.
