The Revolt
The words, the darkness and the flesh,
The cries, the roars, all the mess.
It hunts at night as midnight strikes
And quenches its thirst with blood as it likes.
One howls, the other dies,
One yells, but it is the other's prize.
Not a wolf, nor a vampire, not a werewolf in sight.
Who is it? Who is she? Who may dare have such might?
These are the howls of the woman,
Who have been trapped for years.
The cries? They are of the men,
Who once laughed at them with their peers
Are you wondering why this happened?
Why everything has gone astray?
Let me take you back a thousand years,
When everyone was gay.
It's the year 2017.
And everything is fine.
It's fine, it's fine.
But not inside a woman's mind.
She thinks about revolt,
She thinks about being suppressed.
She thinks about the consequences,
And about all the mess.
Fast forward a few centuries,
She thinks no more.
She's a hothead now,
Can't be pushed no longer like a door
She lashes out, she breaks,
Like they once broke her before.
Which is true, they did,
They broke her down to the core.
But now there's no stopping her,
There's no negotiation,
You've tried and tested her,
Far beyond her patience.
So you flee for miles,
And for miles you run.
But you escape her sight,
Which is far sharper than an m16 gun.
But despite her ruthless behaviour,
She gives you a chance.
A chance to prove yourself,
A chance you must not overglance.
So it is time for a revolt,
A fire has begun.
My ladies, I call you,
Let's make this world a better one.
